When going to the kayaking field trip I didn't know what to expect. We learned how to kayak, how to test water and how to water color. I had a lot of fun.
It was an amazing expierience, when we were kayaking my partner and I beat EVERYBODY. Every time we hit a wave the water came in the kayak and it was a splash of refreshing water. -Jackson Consoli

Not only was this kayaking trip fun, but it was also very educational. My class and I got to learn about salinity, pH and some of the creatures that live near our Corpus Christi Bay. The experience was very fascinating. Even though we did not go kayaking, it was still really fun. I learned a lot of new things like how to measure wind speed, water temperature, and salinity. Also, to make up for not kayaking, we just went to the bay which was also very fun. All in all, I had a great time.

The trip that we did with the artist boat was fun but i did not like that we did not go kayaking. Why we didn't go kayaking? its a good question with a logic answer. During the kayaking field trip, I faced several obstacles. My partner and I couldn't lift the kayak and when we finally got off shore we couldn't manage to work together. During the kayaking field trip, I learned how to work as a team with my partner as we were kayaking. Kayaking seemed easy, I really misjudged it. After Ms. Kelly and Ms.Cherie taught us the the basic paddles my partner and i took off, but in the wrong direction. My partner and i kept on turning left but we needed to go right. It was chaos! After a while in going in circles we got the hang of it ,and finally started going straight. I also liked learning about 'tinafors' everyone kept calling them jellyfish and Ms. Kelly kept on getting mad because they went jellyfish. I have not used any of the information from the trip, but i thought it was a lot of fun! I have learned so much and have loved learning it. I liked this trip because we all got to experience the way life is under the water. And I am interested in being a marine biologist, so this was a good experience. I want to do this again sometime.

at the cohn preserve was my very first privet island and riding a kayaking with the best friend Takota it was fun learning about air speed and the water temp and i started checking the temperature in my pool. i also learned about the animal and plant life there at the preserve. When we first arrived at the Cohn Preserve we all got out of the bus and walked to the beach. We were measuring the salinity, water temperature, wind speed, and air temperature. We all wrote it in our booklet and went to the rocks when we were done. Mrs.Cherie and Mrs.Kelly were telling us rules before we were gonna get are kayaks. We were ready to all have a great day. We all carried are kayaks to the shallow water. There we saw a tinafor, which is like a jellyfish. When we were in are kayaks heading back to the island, and we saw a mother and a baby dolphin. ReplyDeletethe first first thing we did when we got there was test the air temperature. we did some water coloring and kayaking and it was hard because of the wind and me and my partner were going around in circles . it was fun learning about corpus christ bay and all . we saw this sea animal and though it was jelly fish but Ms.Kelly told us it was tinafor and it was so cool to see the animals and all . ReplyDeleteMy class visited the Cohn Preserve it was really fun and exciting . While on the trip we learned and saw some amazing things such as the wind speed, air temperature,and even saw some dolphins and a roseate spoonbill. We finally got to the kayaking part it was so much fun. after the kayaking we got to paint a picture of anything we saw that day it was so cool.But all in all it was an amazing experience and i was glad i got to be apart of it.~Elaina Partida
ReplyDeleteWe learned what the wind temperature was, the water temperature was, and the salinity. When we went in the water we saw a Roseate spoonbill. We also saw a clam and it had stuff in its mouth and the stuff was alive and that was my favorite part of the trip. -- Taylin Winfrey

ReplyDeleteThe kyaking trip was really fun with all of my friends & teacher. I got to see a few dolphins and also many diffrent fish. When we had a little free time all of us students went into the water and found sea shells and also hermet crabs. After the kyaking their was some testing we had to do before, it was time to go back to school.-Aziana Ortiz
