We learned about how bays help us a lot and we got to bird watch through binoculars and go on hikes through dirty mud. But it was awesome and I would love to go again.

J. E. at Scott I was hoping to go kayaking that day, but it was way too windy. At least I got to paint a picture and go bird-watching. I learned how to test the water and some of the chemicals they used to do so.
A.V. at Scott It was very fun and cold that day. It got warmer later on in the day. We learned how to test the quality of water. On our hike we learned about the animals that live there. Even though we didn't go kayaking it was still fun.
B.R. at Scott First we arrived at the bay. Then we took a survey about outdoor activities. After that we were told we couldn't go kayaking because of the wind :( So we painted a picture of the scenery, I couldn't find anything to paint so I painted the water. After that they taught us a lot about the water and why we should keep it clean. Then we went on a hike through a lot of water and everyone kept slipping. One girl slipped 5 times, it was crazy.
K.M. at Scott It was a very fun day but it was a bit cold. I learned to test water quality and we went bird watching which was really fun. Though we didn't go kayaking I still enjoyed the trip.
W,D. at Scott It was very fun and interesting. I learned a lot about birds and nature. The fun thing about the field trip was bird watching. Through we didn't get to go kayaking I still had fun too.
A,R. It was cool and awesome even though we didn't get to go kayaking. I learned about different birds and how to test the quality of water. I also learned that the Trinity River is the biggest fresh water source of Galveston.
I learned a lot about what we are doing as humans to our water source. I also learned a little about some animals in water and on land. I think it was a fun experience! -Rachel
I'm in 8th grade at Scott. It was really cold but we had fun huddled on the bridge. I really enjoyed the water painting.
